Why cork underlayments?
Durability
Compared to foam underlayments, cork solutions are more durable and resilient. Laboratory tests simulating the pressure exerted on flooring systems by foot traffic, caster chairs and trolleys demonstrated that cork underlayments lost only 5% of their original thickness, whereas foam underlayments lost approximately 55%.
Faster Installation
Cork underlayments are much easier and faster to install. Unlike other underlayments, which must be installed in small sections at a time, the entire cork underlayment can be installed without having to alternate with the installation of the final flooring. In addition, you can walk on it during installation without causing it to warp and without needing to replace it during the process.
Sustainability
Cork underlayments are made from a natural, renewable, and recyclable raw material. The use of cork contributes to flooring solutions with a lower environmental impact, combining technical performance with a more sustainable and circular approach.
